Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in, remember your currency and make your free move work. No advertising, no tracking across other sites.

In short: all our cookies are first-party and needed for things you ask us to do. We don't use advertising cookies or analytics cookies, so we don't show a cookie banner. If we ever add analytics, we'll ask you first.

About this page

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This page lists every cookie Serverlinx sets, what it's for and how long it lasts. It sits alongside our privacy notice.

Draft: this page is being reviewed before launch, together with our privacy notice.

Why we don't ask for consent

The law says a website must ask before storing cookies, except where they're strictly necessary for a service you've asked for. Keeping you signed in, protecting sign-in and remembering a choice you've made are the kinds of use the rules allow without a consent banner (ICO guidance on cookies).

The click cookies (sx_clicks and sx_sid) are set only when you click through to a host, and are used only to prove your purchase so we can give you a free move. They're never used for advertising.

What we don't use

  • No advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • No analytics cookies or tracking scripts.
  • No social media buttons or embeds that set cookies.
  • Our fonts are served from our own site, so loading a page doesn't contact anyone else.

When you go to a host

When you click “Go to” a host, you leave Serverlinx. The host, or the affiliate network that tracks the sale for it, may set its own cookies on its own website. Those are covered by their cookie and privacy policies, not ours. We only pass them a click reference, never your name or email address. How we make money.

How to control cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block ours, you won't be able to stay signed in, and your currency choice won't be remembered.

If you block the click cookies, your free move can still be confirmed: upload your order confirmation in your account and we'll check it. Free-move terms.

Changes and questions

If we add or change a cookie, we'll update this page and its date first. If a new cookie needs your consent, we'll ask before setting it. Questions: support@serverlinx.com.
