Hosting glossary
Cloud hosting
In short: Hosting that draws on a large pool of servers, so you can scale up or down on demand.
A cloud server is usually a virtual server you can resize quickly and pay for by the hour or month. You can add more power when you're busy and scale back when you're not.
Some hosts also call managed shared plans 'cloud hosting' because they run on cloud infrastructure. Check what resources are actually guaranteed to you.
