Hosting glossary
RAM
In short: The server's working memory, used by your website's software while it runs.
RAM is one of the main things you pay for on a VPS or cloud server. Too little and your site slows down or crashes under load. WordPress sites with many plugins, and online shops, need more than simple sites.
