WHOIS and RDAP
In short: Public lookup services that show who a domain is registered with and when it expires.
A lookup shows a domain's registrar, key dates and status. Personal contact details are now usually hidden. For .com and other generic domains, RDAP has replaced the older WHOIS service as the official source.
It's the quickest way to check your domain's expiry date.
