Bluehost renewal price: what you'll pay after the intro offer

Bluehost's Starter plan was published at $3.99/mo to start, then $9.99/mo at renewal. [1] Compare what you'd pay elsewhere over 3 years, and we'll move you for free.*

Prices awaiting final check. We copied these prices from each host's own pricing page on the date shown, and we're still re-checking them against the live pages. Always check the host's page before you buy or renew.

Price jump on Starter: $72.00 more a year (+150%)

*Your move is free: we cover the Serverlinx migration fee, worth up to £100 ($125 / €115), when you switch to a host we recommend and buy it through our link. Terms apply.

What you pay now vs at renewal

Intro and renewal prices for Bluehost's entry-level web hosting, exactly as Bluehost published them on its own site (bluehost.com, US prices in dollars). These are not our prices, and your own plan may differ.

We'll compare on the 3-year cost, so an intro offer can't flatter a deal.

How to switch from Bluehost

  1. Get your quotes

Tell us you're with Bluehost and what you pay. We'll show plans ranked on the 3-year cost, renewal prices included, and what you'd save.

  2. Buy your new hosting through our link

Pick a quote and buy it through Serverlinx. Then your move with us is free, worth up to £100 ($125 / €115).*

  3. We move your website and email

We copy everything across from Bluehost while your current site stays live. You check the new version before anything changes.

  4. Move your domain, if it's registered there

Go to Domains, open the Move & Access tab and choose Request Auth Code. Bluehost sends the code to the domain's registrant email address, not your account email. [2] You give the code to your new registrar. We never ask for your Bluehost login.

  5. Cancel once you've switched

Only after your new site is live and checked. Bluehost's help explains turning off Auto Renew in the Renewal Center under Billing, or contacting them to cancel straight away. Domains renew separately from hosting. [3]

Frequently asked questions

How much does Bluehost hosting cost after the intro price?

On Bluehost's Starter plan, the published intro price was $3.99/mo and the renewal price was $9.99/mo, as published on 2026-09-25. [1] Prices change often, so check the host's page before you renew.

Where do I find my EPP code at Bluehost?

Go to Domains, open the Move & Access tab and choose Request Auth Code. Bluehost sends the code to the domain's registrant email address, not your account email. [2]

What about .uk and .co.uk domains?

.uk domains don't use an EPP code. You move them by changing the domain's IPS tag to your new registrar's tag, usually from your current registrar's control panel. [4] See .uk domains.

Can I leave Bluehost before my plan renews?

Yes, you can move at any time. Your current host may not refund a term you've already paid for, so many people move shortly before their renewal date. Check your host's cancellation terms first.

Will my website go down while I switch?

No. We copy your site to your new host while your current one keeps running, and only switch your domain over once you've approved the new version.

Is the move really free?

Yes. When you switch to a host we recommend and buy it through our link, we cover the Serverlinx migration fee, worth up to £100. The host confirms your purchase to us automatically, so there's nothing to claim. Your quote shows exactly what's covered before you book.
